As a child, I remember my parents taking me & my siblings to a George Segal exhibit. This is my first memory of experiencing art & visiting an art gallery.

This started my love & appreciation of art. I remember walking around the gallery in awe of these amazing pieces of works, which I felt were so much bigger than me. They were so normal & yet so extraordinary.

Through my education, travels and numerous visits to local galleries, I have had the pleasure of studying & experiencing a variety of artists. Besides George Segal, among my favourite artists are Rita Angus, Henry Armstead, Don Binney, Marcel Duchamp, Käthe Kollwitz, Edouard Manet, Claude Monet and Pablo Picasso.

Some of the art movements that I am particularly interested in are Cubisim, Impressionism, New Zealand Regionalism and Surrealism.
