I really enjoy visiting & exploring new places. This can be a new place in New Zealand or abroad. I have to say that I do not recall any of my trips as a negative experience. There have been times where things have gone wrong but I have been lucky that I have not experienced any tragedies.

One of the most fantastic journeys for me was my trip to Italy. The two highlights were Rome & Pompeii as I had studied ancient Roman history while at university. In Rome it was really great to be able to walk through the city & see the remnants of what was once a powerful empire. To be able to walk through the Forum was fantastic.

Another enjoyable moment from one of my trips was early morning Bangkok & seeing the monks gathering their food. Unfortunately my stop in Bangkok was at the end of a trip to Europe so I didn’t explore as much as I would have liked to so Thailand is down as a place to revisit.

One place that is, for me, a fantastic place to visit is Berlin. I find Berlin really amazing. It is a beautiful city with great architecture. It is a city that I will revisit as often as I can. I find the history of the city interesting as there are many layers to it but I also really enjoy present day Berlin.

Over the last few years, most of my travelling has been exploring New Zealand on my motorbike, which is such an awesome way to travel.
